Which RAV Drums sound good together? Which RAV Drum sounds best with the RAV Drum I have? These are some of the most common questions we get at Didge Project as an authorized retailer of RAV Drums in the United States. This video is a library of every RAV Drum combination that sounds good (to us) as of March 2021. If there are any combinations we missed, please post them in the comments section below.

This video was not designed to be watched straight through, but rather for you to be able to jump around using the index below, based on whatever scales you want to hear.

An epic pairing that can be done in many scale combinations
The rav drum and the sansula complement each other well in part because the fundamental tones of the rav drum are in the low to mid-range of the audible spectrum, while the sansula's fundamental tones are in the mid to high-range.

Both the sansula and the rav drum have special harmonic effects, the rav drum with its harmonic points (as shown here) and the sansula with it's wah-wah effects.

In this video we combine a B minor RAV with a D Major Sansula. B minor is the relative minor key of D Major, so on these two instruments, all of the notes are in the same scale.  The D Major hokema sansula is compatible with the following rav drums: b celtic minor, b celtic minor double ding, b kurd, b rus and d major.

DidgeProject.com
Didge Project is a blog, youtube channel, series of courses and events, instrument store and a collective of musicians who want to help you use music as a tool for uplifting yourself and others around you.

On our site you will find tips and tutorials to help you become a better musician, didgeridoo lessons, instrument features and reviews, and reports on the latest scientific research and spiritual discoveries merging through the medium of sound.

When we began in 2008 our main focus was on teaching how to play the didgeridoo, a wind instrument originating in aboriginal Australia and also said to be present in ancient Mayan times. After working with countless people it became apparent that most musicians play multiple instruments and that we have the community resources to help all musicians get better results. While we still provide didgeridoo lessons, classes and programs, our focus is to provide tutorials for music and instruments from all around the world.
