Subject: Friend, here is your Aha! Moment Monday ⭐

Recently I was with a friend for dinner.  We waited a few minutes for the waiter to attend and when he did, he took our drink order and gave us additional time to peruse the menu.

When he returned, my friend and I had already decided on the lobster ravioli and placed our order. Just as Mo (our waiter) was leaving the table, I summoned him back and asked, “Mo, is it ready yet?” He laughed, but isn’t that a question indicative of our “instant” society?

Once we make the decision to do something or have something, we want it now!

We live in a world of “on demand”: instant answers to just about any question, anywhere in the world, through a mobile device, immediate money transfer with a digital wallet or app, real-time inventory or tracking, super-fast food, etc. We find ourselves expecting everything (and everyone) in our lives to respond instantly as well!

Have you found yourself committing to Day One of a diet and exercise regime, then checking the mirror at the end of the day expecting to see visible changes?  Or did you ever make a decision on a project, hand it off to be developed, then immediately start following up, expecting that it’s almost done?

Aha! ~ Everything requires its own time

The Law of Gender states that everything has a gestational period, the time that it takes to transpose a seed and bring it to fruition.

We know humans take about nine months before they’re ready to pop into the world, yet it’s 22 months before baby elephants see the light for themselves.  (If you’re a human mom, doesn’t the thought of being pregnant for 22 months make you cringe??)

Nature’s gestation periods are predictable, but our ideas and collaborative builds are not.   That is where understanding, acceptance, and - abundantly important - patience come in.

Each idea, project, intention, modification, desire, enhancement, endeavour, and undertaking will require the time that it will.  It may not be on your timetable, but once you establish that magic triangle - clear vision, concrete belief, and consistent action - your idea WILL manifest itself.  Will it happen instantaneously?  Maybe.  Maybe not.  But it is nature’s way that all seeds, when given their required nutrients, blossom…in their own time.

“Patience is not simply the ability to wait, it’s how we behave while we’re waiting.” ~ Joyce Meyer

I think of WAIT as an acronym for: What Am I Thinking?  Let’s explore that tomorrow – Tuesday, August 9th - at NOON eastern in Aha! Moment Trailblazers|Facebook.
