Subject: Friend, here is your Aha! Moment Monday 💫

Have you noticed how “beige” fast food can be?
Chicken strips, fries and a bun.  Beige, right?

Beige represents “neutral”.  According to Bourn Creative, “While it is a relaxing color, beige is often seen as a dull and boring color.”

But beige is also dependable, conservative, and neutral.

Does beige describe any other aspects?
Can you have a beige position or a beige meeting?  What about a beige attitude or a beige relationship?

Jennifer Bourn adds, “The attributes and meanings associated with beige change based on the colours it accompanies.”
So beige isn’t meant to be on its own?

Aha – A colourful plate is a healthy plate ... and that doesn’t just apply to food.

We need beige in our lives but only as a base.

Just like fast food, it’s easy to fall into a beige lifestyle that’s routine and predictable but it’s colour that adds an element of risk and intuitive spark that brings vibrancy to our lives.
“Man needs colour to live; it’s just as necessary an element as fire and water.”  ~ Fernand Leger

Add some colour to your wardrobe with red sneakers or a glitzy scarf.
Adopt diversity in your work place, your committees and even your friends.
Challenge yourself to read a book on a subject you know nothing about, add new elements to your fitness routine, inspire someone you’ve never spoken to before, rearrange your office so your view is different, or toss a dozen vegetables into your salad.

Isn’t it time we put beige in its place?

Cheers to YOU celebrating a colourful, creative, memorable, loving, healthy, and joyful holiday season!

Succeed Deliberately!
