Subject: Will it be turkey, rouladen, holubtsi, or shrimp on the barbie?

Hello Friend~

I’ve hosted Christmas Eve for many years and for the first half of them, with a full sit-down dinner in the Canadian tradition of turkey, stuffing, potatoes and vegetables.

Then schedules, driving distances and weather demanded more consideration as the family grew and spread so I found that preparing a buffet of hot and cold appetizers and self-serve mains worked better. It was then that I allowed myself creative license to prepare authentic international dishes and celebrate with our families in other parts of the globe, in their tradition.

Week two of 12 in our Best Gifts Ever sequence for 2021 features food service gems in the spirit of breaking bread … and with awesome leftovers. Pair any of these with decadent sauces, cheeses or cookies and wrap them in tea towels, sure to delight everyone on your list.

So… how is that "list" coming along?
