Subject: Productivity In These Times Doesn't Include Netflix Friend

Unless you are a movie reviewer Friend.

Most of us are working from home right now.

To some this is completely foreign. Some people
are young; others are old. This work from home
thing is completely foreign. A little strange even.

But not for me. I've been doing it for the past 15
years. And I've learned a few things along the way.

Working from home puts you in the driver's seat
on how you run your day. You can sit around in
your pjs, not shave and binge watch movies on
Netflix all day long.

You could adopt the attitude that the world has
shut down, so you might as well do the same.

There's a couple of issues with that.

At the moment the world unemployment rate
is rising fast and it's going to continue for awhile.

In the US alone 3.3 million people are out of work.
It's going to be super hard to get back in the
employment world once this thing is over.

Gloomy I know but my point here  is that you need
to stay 'employed.'

For some of you that may mean employing yourself.

If you are in real estate that would mean going after
the lowest hanging fruit. People who MUST sell now,
getting the right price and contacting all of your database
to get this property sold.

Along term strategy would be to build your audience. I
wrote a piece about quadrupling your success - it's
mind blowing (read it after you finish this email)

The second big thing that's happening right now is that
momentum is being jolted, sometimes stopped.

Productivity builds momentum. Momentum leads to
positive affirmations within yourself. You'll feel better
within yourself, your energy will rise and productivity will
BOOM!

In 2015 I started writing fiction novels. As a B+ English
student I didn't give myself much hope.

But I had a strategy and became productive. At 5.30am
every morning for around a year I wrote mystery fiction
short reads.

Within 3 months I had 4 shorts reads published. Within a
year I had 17.

Momentum  built my readership base. Sales climbed. I cracked
a few #1 on Amazon in category.

If COVID-19 is getting you into a rut, here's a plan that could
help.

1. Brain dump everything on your mind onto paper. EVERYTHING!
No particular order. No need to organise. Just get it out.
Clear your mind.

2. On another page write down what you REALLY want - next
week, month, year, 5 years etc - it doesn't matter which one you choose.

3. Organise your first brain dump under the thing you want most.

For me, I want to be a writer.

To be a writer the most productive thing for me to do is..........
WRITE. Both fiction books and emails.

And that's my productivity plan.

I may watch a bit of Netflix to 'research' for my next book,
but writing is my best productivity plan that I can adopt.

What's yours? Let me know. I'd love to hear your plan.
