Olujimi Dance Collective T.W.E.R.K.

Olujimi Dance Collective (ODC) is comprised of dancers, performers, choreographers, and storytellers who are committed to preservation, sustainability, ecology, and feminine power. ODC is committed to uplifting the lives of black females on a multitude of levels that involve healing, spirituality, empowerment, education and excellence. T.W.E.R.K., their current performance, stands for Transnational dance Works and practices that Evoke Revolutionary Kinship.

T.W.E.R.K. brings together strong and diverse artists in a celebration of the bonds that holds us together.

AfriKin Art in collaboration with the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (NMCRA) is proud to present, The Gaze Africana – a contemporary fine art exhibition of African excellence for Black History Month 2023.

AfriKin Art: The Gaze Africana features a distinctive line-up of international Black artists and creatives, whose works represent African Excellence.

The Gaze Africana explores ideologies connected to African art. This deployment of contemporary Africana fine art in the NoMi district (North Miami) presents a cultural panorama, highlighting the diverse and vibrant traditions of African diasporic art and culture. This exhibit speaks of the strength and resilience of the Black community. As we celebrate Black History Month.
