đŸŽ„ Two New Cameras, Twice the Fun!

Africam is thrilled to announce the launch of two brand-new live cameras in partnership with Great Plains Conservation, streaming 24/7 straight from the heart of the Selinda Camp in Botswana’s wild spaces.

Twin Pan is a magnet for wildlife, where you can expect elephants, antelope, predators, and more as they gather at this busy waterhole. Every visit promises something new, from peaceful moments to heart-pounding encounters.

The Ox Bow camera overlooks a spectacular lagoon that’s alive with activity. Hippos, crocodiles, birdlife, and passing predators make this a hotspot for non-stop action – and now you have a front-row seat!

🐭Meet Africam's Rodents

Bushveld Gerbil

While they might be small, these critters play a big role in the African bush! The Bushveld Gerbil is a slender little mammal with sandy-brown or golden fur and a lighter belly. It lives in open savannah and bushveld areas, often where the soil is loose enough for digging burrows.

Woodland Dormouse

The Woodland Dormouse is tiny and round-bodied, with soft gray-brown fur, a pale belly, and a bushy tail. It prefers wooded areas, riverine forests, and dense shrubs, often hiding in the branches near Africam cameras.

Greater Came Rat

The Greater Cane Rat is much larger and more robust, with coarse brown or gray fur, a short tail, and stocky legs. It thrives in grasslands, wetlands, and riverbanks, especially near waterholes or pans, and is usually seen grazing at dusk or night.

Keep an eye out for these rodents on the cameras and try tagging them correctly on SafariSnaps. Can you spot the tiny Woodland Dormouse in the trees or the hefty Greater Cane Rat by the water? Every correct ID helps you earn points and sharpen your wildlife spotting skills!
