Subject: The Circle of Life At Moela

This Week at Moela: A Wildebeest’s Final Journey

This week at Moela waterhole, we witnessed a deeply moving and unforgettable moment in the wild.

A pregnant wildebeest, struggling with complications, made her way slowly to the waterhole. Surrounded by curious elephants and watched closely by scavengers, she took her final breath - a poignant reminder of nature’s delicate balance.

As dawn broke, vultures, jackals, and even a pelican arrived to claim their share, and as night fell, spotted hyenas completed the Circle of Life. This powerful scene reminds us how every ending brings new beginnings in the African bush.

New Camera. New Angle. More Magic.

We’re excited to announce that a brand-new camera is coming soon to Africam, expanding our view of Botswana’s spectacular Boteti River and the incredible zebra migration.

We’ve loved the sightings from Camelthorn and Moela, and this new camera will offer a closer angle of the action, adding another piece to the puzzle of this beautiful ecosystem.

🎥 Stay tuned for a sneak peek next week as we get ready to bring you even closer to the magic of Botswana’s wildlife.
