Subject: Endangered Species Day | A Tribute to Wildlife on Africam

On this Endangered Species Day, 16 May 2025, we take a moment to honour the extraordinary animals that are at risk of disappearing forever.

From majestic elephants and powerful rhinos to elusive leopards and painted dogs, these species face mounting challenges in the wild.

Thanks to conservation efforts - and the power of live, non-intrusive observation, we are privileged to witness them in their natural habitats through Africam.

Every sighting on our cameras is a reminder of both the fragility and resilience of these creatures.

It’s not just about watching. It’s about understanding, protecting, and remembering what’s at stake.

Improvements, Apologies & Exciting New Cameras Coming Soon!

Server Crash & Service Impact
Last weekend, we experienced an unexpected server crash that affected some of our services, including the alerts app and chat functionality. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience as we worked hard to resolve the issues.

New Sound Systems Installed
We’ve installed brand-new sound systems at the Olifants River and Cat Eye cameras, and the results have been fantastic! Thanks to this success, we’re planning to upgrade the Tau camera’s sound system later this month. Stay tuned for improved audio experiences!

New Cameras Coming Late May
Exciting news — at the end of May, we will be installing new cameras at fresh locations! We can’t wait to share sneak peeks with you soon. Keep an eye on our channels for the first glimpses of these upcoming spots.
