July Prayer Calendar
Dear Prayer Warriors,

Sometimes the most difficult prayer is May your will be done. English theologian William Law once commented, “prayer is not about putting man’s will in heaven, but putting God’s will on earth.”  Therefore, let’s not forget the Lord we are praying to is who already knew our daily needs. We should pray boldly according to his Will. Thank you for interceding for our ministry activities in this month.

Campus Ministry
University of Delaware -- Please pray for the students who have returned to China for the summer and for those who are staying for classes and internships. Pray for their daily walk with the Lord through consistent quiet times and an active prayer life, for living changed lives as witnesses for Christ, and for boldness to share their faith with families and friends when opportunities arise.

Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, PA-- Praise God that our summer Bible study and discipleship program has started for students who remain on campus here. Pray that these students will be consistent and faithful in the discipleship training and will be able to become leaders in the campus fellowship in the fall. Also pray for those students who have returned to China, that they will find opportunities for spiritual fellowship in a secular environment back home.

Indianapolis, IN -- Pray for God’s guidance in the preparation of a singles adult retreat in the Middle West region. May God prepare a suitable place.

Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD -- Please continue to pray for our 2016 freshman airport pick-up mission. Our serve team (AFC and some local churches) will cooperate this time with JHUCSSA (Johns Hopkins University Chinese Students and Scholars Association). Pray that God will bless us with a good experience.

Chapel Hill, NC -- Please pray for the AFC staff and the coworkers in the caring ministry, for good planning and for the timely follow-up on the increasing number of visitors to the university.

Greenville, SC -- Please pray that the young people will display godly wisdom and love to the seekers when the AFC staff is absent and the Bible study/food ministry is run by the young adults and students.

Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX -- Please pray for the students in the Texas Tech International Bible Study Fellowship (TTU IBSF) . They will be traveling to Plano, Dallas, to worship with the Collin County Chinese Fellowship Church (CCCFC) and to participate in the English-speaking Servant Heart Ministry (SHM) special event. Pray for their safety and for a good learning experience.

University of California, Irvine -- Please ask the Lord to give us wisdom and strength to reach out to the new students coming from China. Some new students are already here for the fall of 2016. The AFC staff needs to arrange activities to help both Christian and non-believer students.

University of Southern California -- Pray for the USC campus ministry coworkers as we meet again in July/Aug to discuss the details of the suggestions for ministry enhancement during the May debrief. Pray that we will have greater impact and meet students’ needs more effectively.
Chinese Mission Convention
CMC 2016 -- Baltimore, MD -- Pray for the members of the Executive Planning Committee that the Lord would continue to knit us together as ONE for His Kingdom.

CMC 2016 -- Baltimore, MD -- Thank you for your prayers! We received two new partner churches last week. Please pray that we will have 50 church partners for this Chinese Mission Conference.

CMC West -- 2017 Los Angeles, CA -- Please pray that God will provide workshop speakers for the Chinese program who can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, and Taiwanese.

CMC West -- 2017 Los Angeles, CA -- Please pray for our coworkers as they approach additional approved advisors for their confirmation to be on the advisory team to provide counsel, to connect with speakers, and to help with promotion.

CMC South -- 2018 Houston, TX -- Please pray as we continue to look for a Deputy to serve with each Vice Chair. Pray also for the recruitment of a Managing Director for 2018. This is a large, very important position for keeping the planning on track.

CMC South -- 2018 Houston, TX -- Pray that the Lord would enable us to find favor in the eyes of the Hotel and Convention Center. We are entering the negotiation stage with the intent to sign a contract in July.  
Discipleship, Training and Conference Ministry
Please pray for the coordinator and speakers for the CCFN retreat to be held this August. Pray for the coworkers for the Children’s Program. Also please pray for the biweekly prayer calls for CCFN.

Please pray for the AFC staff trip to Taiwan this summer to participate in 2 conferences. Pray that we may learn from the most current ministry models of others to enhance our own.

Please pray for the three “How People Change” seminars in Taiwan. Pray for our potential long-term partnership with “The Center for Family Love” for training the trainer program to reproduce HPC discipleship groups in Taiwan.

Pray for the training planning for year 2017. 
Literature Ministry
Chinese Resource Ministry (CRM) - Pray for local volunteers at GAIN’s facility in Lancaster who are making us several thousand Gospel bracelets. Pray for maximum ministry impact of these low-cost Gospel tools, especially for children’s ministry.

Pray for our summer promotion for new student outreach. We will be sending out an email to remind campus coworkers to stock up on Gospel resources for new student arrivals in July and August.

Pray for the high quality manuscripts invited by Ambassadors Magazine (AM). Pray for the time and inspiration from the pastors and elders to become involved in the literature service of AM. And please pray for AM to win more and more young overseas readers through its electronization approach.

Please continue praying for the AFC Bookstore, AM, and CRM literature teams, as they support Campus, Training, and Mission ministries.    
Others
Administration and Finance -- Continue to pray for the construction of the Guest Lodge. Construction is scheduled to end on Dec 6, 2016. All of the furnishings and equipment are our responsibility, so please pray for the coworkers as they select and purchase everything needed to operate a lodge.

Resources & Development -- Pray that our ministry partners will positively respond to our mid-year funding campaign and generously get behind our mission. At the same time, we need to pray for and care for our donors’ spiritual wellbeing. Pray that we can build healthy and effective two-way communication channels with them.

Board-- Praise God for a good Board of Directors meeting. Please continue to pray for the ministry and service for Board members.

Donors and Volunteers-- Please pray for AFC donors and volunteers who support and partner with AFC ministries generously and faithfully.
