August Prayer Requests
Dear Prayer Warriors,

Thanks for keeping our ministries in your prayer. We had the Lord’s full blessings for our past campus coworker retreat and Love for Life family conference. Our staff, volunteers and attendees all enjoyed the intensive time of learning and interactions.

In August, many of staff will be traveling on the road for various teaching ministries. Please continue to lift them up. Our headquarters just upgraded to a new enterprise software, which required a lot of learning and adjustments. In midst of all the necessary book-keeping, we need the Lord’s blessings to overcome the learning hurdle as quickly as possible.

Campus Ministry
New Haven, CT -- Please pray for the fellowship as they seek to build a relationship with Yale's Chaplain Office for the coming new academic year.

New Jersey Main College Ministries, NJ-- Please pray for the Life-game Camps and a Church-game Camp this Oct 12-13 to be held in NJ. Please pray for the preparation and invitations. Also please ask God to give AFC coworkers His wisdom to know how to share the Campus Ministry Vision with others.

Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD --Please pray for our 2016 freshman airport pick-up mission. There are more than 280 students registered and many volunteers from different churches. Pray for the team to have enough vehicles, safety on the road, and minimal traffic.

Raleigh, NC -- Pray for the preparation, promotion, and the short Gospel message of the Welcome Party for new students, which will be held in August. Also please pray that the hearts of the new students will be receptive to God’s words.

College Station, Texas A&M University, TX --Please continue to pray for our church families to open their homes to student fellowship and to form a team in this aspect of service. Praise the Lord for His mercy and faithfulness! Please pray that the visiting scholarship fellowship and student fellowship may start English Bible study groups which will be led by native English speakers.

San Diego State University, CA -- Please pray for the SDSU fellowship because of the growing number of visiting scholars. Please pray that God will use AFC to bring those students to Him and will give us the time, the resources, and the wisdom to take care of them.

University of Southern California -- Pray for God’s leading as AFC’s co-workers are planning for the fall semester programs. Pray that those programs will have greater impact and meet students’ needs more effectively.

Cambridge, UK-- The landlord of our current ministry location wants to sell the house, so we will face the possibility of losing the place we have used for years. Please pray with us if it is permissible to purchase the place and to see the Lord's leading in it. 
Chinese Mission Convention
CMC 2016 -- Baltimore, MD. Praise the Lord! Registration is now live and connected with our website. Pray for a few registrations that will help us to confirm that everything is operating smoothly. 

CMC 2016 -- Baltimore, MD. Pray for the mailing of the brochures. The brochures are at the printer and the cover letter will be ready soon. Pray for the Holy Spirit to open the way for the envelopes to get to the right people in each church

CMC West -- 2017 Los Angeles, CA. Please pray for the design of the promotion flyer and the development of the video and website.

CMC West -- 2017 Los Angeles, CA. Please pray for the participation of all our partner churches and organizations to put prayer as a priority for CMC West 2017 as we invite them to join in our 1st WebEx Prayer Meeting on September 22. Please pray that all the participants will have a unity of purpose in putting God first in our desire to mobilize people for missions.

CMC South -- 2018 Houston, TX. Please pray for the recruitment of speakers and the development of the convention theme.
Discipleship, Training and Conference Ministry
Please pray for the coordinator and speakers for the CCFN retreat to be held this August. Pray for the coworkers for the Children’s Program. Also please pray for the biweekly prayer calls for CCFN.

Pray for the upcoming Life Influencing Life discipleship training in LA on Oct 1.

Please pray for the successful preparation of the online training videos with good course materials, which will be uploaded this August.

Pray for the training planning for year 2017. 
Literature Ministry
Chinese Resource Ministry (CRM) -- Praise the Lord for the multitude of requests for our new student welcome packs! And praise also for our volunteers who have been diligently assembling these packs. Pray for God to use each item in each pack to lead souls to the Savior.

Chinese Resource Ministry (CRM) -- Praise God for the people who have been finding our ministry through our Amazon.com store. Pray for us as we add more items to our Amazon inventory. Pray that all of our Amazon customers will find our AFC website and request more resources directly from us.

Chinese Resource Ministry (CRM) -- We’ve been in discussions with several church groups in China about their need for ministry resources. The consensus seems to be an interest in Know the Truth and Growing in Christ. Pray that these groups can raise funds to support this project. Pray that this need can transition into a printing project this year.

Pray for the high quality manuscripts invited by Ambassadors Magazine (AM). Pray for the time and inspiration from the pastors and elders to become involved in the literature service of AM. And please pray for AM to win more and more young overseas readers through its electronization approach.

Please continue praying for the AFC Bookstore, AM, and CRM literature teams, as they support Campus, Training, and Mission ministries.    
Others
Administration and Finance -- Continue to pray for the construction of the Guest Lodge. Construction is scheduled to end on Dec 6, 2016. Also please pray for the coworkers as they select and purchase everything needed to operate a lodge.

Administration and Finance -- Praise the Lord that we have been using new office software. Please continue to pray that our HQ staff can quickly learn how to use it effectively.

Board-- Praise God for a good Board of Directors meeting. Please continue to pray for the ministry and service of Board members.

Donors and Volunteers-- Please pray for AFC donors and volunteers who support and partner with AFC ministries generously and faithfully.
