| | | As a community benefit organization, we frequently use statistical data to demonstrate our value and to explain how an investment in our work impacts the lives of those we serve. The facts and figures, however, are only part of the story. The most meaningful aspect of our story is found within each family we serve. They live the reality that data can only begin to represent.
One family that exemplifies this truth so clearly is the Munoz’s, who were selected as a partner family in 1996. Their journey reveals how an investment in our organization provides both an initial “hand up” out of inadequate housing as well as long-lasting generational change. Since 1990, Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity has impacted the lives of nearly 100 families, building homes, community and hope. By donating to Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity, your TAX DEDUCTIBLE donation will help us fund our efforts here in our community. We are currently planning the start of a 12-unit subdivision called Garfield Green in Rapid City at the site of the old Garfield School. This $1.3M redevelopment plan is well underway, but we need your help in order to fund this project.
