This year, Habitat is partnering with Thrivent Financial for a Faith Build.

Who is Thrivent?
Thrivent creates financial strategies that help Christians be wise with money and live generously. Since the organizations partnered in 2005, thousands of home builds and repair projects have been completed by Thrivent members and other generous volunteers. Now, entire congregations have the opportunity to help local families in need of decent, affordable housing by joining in a Faith Build.

What is a Faith Build?
How a Faith Build Works - 
  • Churches commit to becoming a partner.
  • Congregation members generously volunteer their time, choosing to help with  construction or non-construction activities.
  • Churches participate in a Faith Build generosity challenge: Thrivent provides up to 50% of the new home cost, and participating congregations are challenged to match the remaining home cost.
  • A family moves into their new home!

How do I get my church involved?
Simple! Email alcee@blackhillshabitat.org for more information on how to get your church involved. Habitat representatives are available to speak with pastors, small groups, even whole congregations on how to be a part of this year's Faith Build!

Where are you building?
613 Lemmon Ave. in Rapid City is the future home for a local family in need of a foundation for the future.  Construction opportunities open in July.
