I just watched this video of two well renowned market experts discussing the future of gold. Bottom line: The financial system is transforming (collapsing) and will never be the same as we know it today. Gold is currently below $1700/oz. and they expect it to re-set within six months, which means that it will be closer to its true value of $10,000 - $11,000/oz. as fiat currencies collapse just like Venezuela. The discussion is fascinating. | Let's start with some of this week's news to help us understand the context of my comments below;
2. As traders were being hit hard with margin calls the last couple of weeks, they sold off their gold holdings to get liquidity to cover their margin calls. This caused a significant drop in the gold price. Now that this period has largely passed us on the timeline, gold is now resuming it's position as a safe haven asset and demand is back in full swing as we can see by today's price chart below. |

Financial and precious metals expert Egon von Greyerz (EvG) operates the largest private gold vault in the world in Switzerland. EvG contends, “They have managed to maintain totally false markets with no real price discovery, certainly since 2009, by just flooding the market with so much money. We don’t have any real markets. We don’t have any real prices. It’s all fake. It’s all fake because it’s all supported by fake money.”
So, real money, that EvG says is physical gold and silver, is going to be revalued much higher. EvG says, “Technically, gold and silver will soon start the next leg up. . . . What is happening right now is every single government is printing more and more money. You have one rescue package after another, and that’s just the beginning. So, now, central banks are your best friend if you want to own precious metals because they are going to do everything they can to debase the currency.”

As demand surges many dealers simply cannot provide product to keep up. EvG mentions in his interview above that;
A). If you can get gold, the spread is increasing meaning the premium you will pay above spot is making it more expensive to buy as time goes on and that is only if...
B) ....If you can get it at all. EvG predicts that many orders won't be filled due to a supply which won't meet demand for it. |
