The Architecture & Design Film Festival (ADFF) will present its 7th festival this fall in New York from October 13 - 18. There are so many exciting things happening at this year's festival!

We have moved the venue from Tribeca to Chelsea. Opening night will be October 13th at the SVA Theatre, 330 West 23rd St., and the remainder of the festival will be at Bow Tie Chelsea Cinemas at 260 West 23rd. The move to the new theater will provide a larger venue and 3 screening rooms. We will take over the third floor.

Azimyth Immersive Lounge

Virtual Reality immersive experiences are offered to attendees in the festival's lounge. The collection of groundbreaking immersive experiences will be curated by ADFF and Azimyth Creation Studio.

There are many amazing things happening in the field of virtual reality and we wanted to make sure this unique form of storytelling was included at the festival. We will have four experiences offered to the public in the lounge.

The Conversations

This year we are doing something different with the Conversations. These events will be ticketed rather than free and the proceeds will go to a charity. This year's charity is the 14+ Foundation, a great organization that is building schools in Africa.

This year’s opening night film will be the NY Premiere of The Infinite Happiness Conceived as a personal video diary, The Infinite Happiness is an architectural experience. The film takes us to the heart of a contemporary housing development considered to be a new model of success. Inhabiting the giant “8 House” built by Danish Architect Bjarke Ingels in the suburb of Copenhagen, Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine recount their subjective experience of living inside this experiment of a “vertical village”. Named “Best residential building of the year” by the World Architecture Festival in 2011.
ADFF's 7th Year!

This year’s festival will have 33 films from 17 countries, shown in 15 unique programs. Each program is shown twice during the festival. For a complete listing of the films and descriptions, go to adfilmfest.com. Tickets go on sale September 14th.
