Subject: ADFF:Vancouver starts next week!

ADFF:Vancouver — presented by All in Pictures and Vancouver Special — kicks off on November 9 and goes through November 12. We're just finishing up ADFF:Toronto and audiences are loving the films. We look forward to getting to the west coast! This year, opening night will take place at the Hollywood Theatre. Architect Marianne Amodio is offering a tour of the Hollywood Theatre at 6pm. You can buy your tickets here.


After opening night, we move to the VIFF Center with 3 screenings on Thursday, 10 screenings on Friday, and 7 screenings on Saturday. There are a total of 15 films from 10 different countries. There are 3 Canadian films: Building Bastille! The Tangled and Improbable Story of the Opera Bastille directed by Leif Kaldor, Outside In directed by Danny Berish, and Richard Henriquez: Building Stories directed by Mike Bernard and Gavin Froome.

The film will screen alongside Grethe Meyer– The Queen of Danish Design on Thursday and Friday. After the Thursday screening, directors Mike Bernard and Gavin Froome will answer audience questions with the legendary (and local!) architect Richard Henriquez.

The film will screen on Friday and Saturday. After the Saturday screening, Marta Farevaag (Founding Principal at PFS Studio) will moderate a panel with Paty Rios (Senior Public Space Stewardship Planner at City of Vancouver) and Bill Yuen (Executive Director at Heritage Vancouver).
