Subject: ADFF Kicks Off 11th Season

July 25, 2019

ADFF is getting ready to kick off our 11th year, starting with ADFF:New York this October. We're currently previewing dozens of films for this upcoming season, which is shaping up to be one of the best yet! With each year, there has been an increase in the number of submissions, which is great news for all of us who love these amazing films about architecture and design.
The new season starts in New York on October 2nd with the 6th annual Short Films Walk. ADFF:NY begins two weeks later — October 16 - 20. With our presenting sponsor, Eventscape, we'll be introducing a full lineup of features, shorts and panels, along with a soon-to-be-announced special opening night feature film. Our closing night film — the U.S. premiere of City Dreamers, directed by Joseph Hillel — highlights the stories of four visionary, trail-blazing women architects. One of the women highlighted in the film, Phyllis Lambert, will join us for a post-screening Q&A.
ADFF is Coming to Canada!

We’re also excited to announce that ADFF will be expanding our venues to include our northern friends, with vibrant festivals in Vancouver and Toronto this fall.
ADFF will be making its debut in Canada with ADFF:Vancouver, November 7 - 10. Presenting sponsors are All In Pictures and Vancouver Special. ADFF:Vancouver will showcase films at two great venues — Vancity Theatre and the Scotiabank Dance Centre.
ADFF will continue its Canadian excursion with the inaugural ADFF:Toronto, November 14 - 17, 2019. Along with a full lineup of the season’s films, the presenting sponsor will be the Toronto-based, globally renowned fabrication company, Eventscape. ADFF:Toronto will take place at the amazing TIFF Bell Lightbox Theater.
Looking Ahead to 2020

ADFF will continue our annual festivals in DC, L.A. and New Orleans.
In DC, the festival will again be held at the National Building Museum and presented by the Revada Foundation from March 26 - 29, 2020.
ADFF:LA will move from March to April next year (April 16 - 22, 2020) and we’ll be expanding the festival from one venue to multiple venues around the city. Short Film Walk:LA will be April 4th in Helms Bakery District. Opening night will be Thursday, April 16th in Beverly Hills. On Friday night we will launch ADFF’s "One Night Stand", a short film program. Weekend screenings will take place at the A+D Museum in the Arts District and weeknight screenings on April 20-22 will be in Culver City.
