A Steppe Closer Panel Series Begins May 22!

The American Center for Mongolian Studies (ACMS) and Western Washington University (WWU) invite you to join us for the inaugural panel series of our new initiative, Алхам алхмаар дөхөх нь: Хил дамнасан хамтын ажиллагаа ба шинэ мэдлэг бүтээхүй  / A Steppe Closer: Cross-Border Collaboration and the Making of New Knowledge. This joint initiative highlights international research partnerships between Mongolian scholars and their colleagues abroad. 


The first virtual talk of this series is scheduled to take place on May 22 at 8pm ET (May 23 at 8am ULAT), and will feature Turmunkh Enkhzaya, Mongolian Academy of Sciences, and Nari Lee, University of Montana. They will present their research in a talk entitled "Gendered Barriers to Working in Conservation: A Comparative Case Study in South Korea and Mongolia."


All panels will feature simultaneous English-Mongolian and Mongolian-English interpretation.
