Quantum mechanics is the science of the very small: the body of scientific principles that explains the behaviour of matter and its interactions with energy on the scale of atoms and subatomic particles.
Tony discusses the pain and pleasure involved in the process of writing his grunge novel LA911 and looks towards his next novel set in Mongolia which he hopes to be a thriller.
About the Presenter

  About the Author:Tony Burchill
Tony Burchill has served as Consul–General and Trade Commissioner in Ulaanbaatar since December 2012. His duties at the Australian Consulate-General include Consular, Commercial, Developmental Assistance and Political/Economic reportage. His team comprises professionals in ODA, Education, and Mining and Infrastructure among other sectors. Previous Postings include Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner in Vietnam (2007 to 2012), Trade Commissioner in New Delhi (2004-2007) including oversight of Pakistan and Trade Commissioner based in Jakarta (1996-2001). During these postings he also led regional teams in both South Asia and ASEAN for resources and infrastructure. Previous professional roles include Financial Journalism at Fairfax and Project Management at Mobil Oil. Interests include tennis, writing and international business and politics. He is married to Anggia Anggraini who is a Social Development specialist.
