In this presentation, Anne-Camille Souris will introduce about the current status of this species in Mongolia, she will talk about her research on the Mongolian khulan’s ecology and about some of her findings, and she will also present the actions conducted by her non-profit organization (Association GOVIIN KHULAN) and its partners in the southeast Gobi to enhance protection of the Mongolian khulan, such as engagement of local park and volunteer rangers and communities in conservation actions.
About the Presenter

  About the Author: Anne-Camille Souris
Anne-Camille Souris is a French wildlife biologist, equine ethologist, and member of the SSC/IUCN Equid Specialist Group. She has been studying the Mongolian Khulan since 2004. In 2006 she then started research and conservation work on the populations that occur in the southeast Gobi where there was less work towards the conservation of this endangered species. In 2007, she co-founded the Association GOVIIN KHULAN to enhance protection of the endangered Mongolian Khulan and its habitat in partnership with local rangers and communities.
