Subject: 2023 End Of Year Fund Drive

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Allow me to extend my warmest Holiday greetings to each of you. My name is Isaac Hart, and I am honored to serve as the new Resident Director of the American Center for Mongolian Studies. I just arrived in Ulaanbaatar a couple of weeks ago and I’m excited to help lead this new chapter in ACMS history together with the ACMS staff.

Thank you to those of you who recently came to Washington or participated via zoom in the recent ACMS retreat in Washington. We had a great turn out and appreciate your support for the retreat and for the ACMS as we implement our strategic plan and build new partnerships and programs in the years ahead.

One key goal identified in our surveys of members and friends is an interest in expanding research fellowships for international and Mongolian scholars. We are seeking your support to develop new fellowships for emerging Mongolian and international scholars who are conducting the research necessary to help Mongolia sustainably develop its cultural and natural resources.

We are asking you to make a donation to the ACMS to help us raise $5,000 by December 31, 2023 to fund at least 3 new fellowships opportunities for scholars in 2024. We also invite you to renew your membership in the ACMS, as your membership helps us make the case that Mongolian Studies is a vibrant and growing field.

I am excited to join the ACMS team and look forward to getting to know you and learn more about how the ACMS can support your work and interests in Mongolia. Thank you so much for your past support of the ACMS, and for considering a donation today to help a new generation of scholars build a better future for Mongolia and the world.
