| Hello Friend,
Why being busy is destroying families?
Why are we busy?  To feel important because we seem to be productive? What are we busy doing? What is the rush? Are we distracted by good things instead of focusing on doing the best things?
Can parents living in a remote part of the amazon forest or in the mountains of Tibet, be a good parent too without having to rush like modern families are doing in countries?  Yes.
Here is what I learned when I made the switch...
What is so bad about busyness?  We don't make time to nurture relationships, take care of our health or create happiness. To the child, it sends the message that the child isn’t as important as other things because they are not priorityAdulthood is not fun, it's a crazy rat race, that we are racing against the clockIt teaches children false beliefs that life is hard and stressful a struggle, not joyful, and that we lack freedom, we can’t take the time to do what we want, we are victims to circumstances, we have to please society’s expectations. If you are an overworked mother, doing everything for everyone, the message received by children could be children can’t be trusted to do it right or well enough so they are hopeless and a burden to the mother. When children become parents they feel like they have to be selfless and loose themselves and their identity. It teaches children how to worry, be stressful, and fearful because happiness is attached to stuff to be achieved or earned onlyIt tells the children we don’t have time to meet the fundamental human needs of love, belonging etc.

What is the benefit of an intentional life? (a life that is not overly busy) It teaches our children to focus on being happy and faith filled is more important than pleasing the worldThat God is who we answer to and no one else, especial society and their traditions, cultures and expectationsWhen we are not running around stressful, we teach our kids that they are important, loved, and divineIt gives us time to feel the love of God, hear God and get divine directionsWe have time to help our children develop faith-developing skills so they become capable, confident, contributing, secure, inspired adults. We have time to teach our children essential life skills such as cooking, cleaning, money management, people skills, language and communication skills, speaking kindly no need to do unintelligent mean jokes to be funnyWe smile and laugh more and build memories together. Time to love and hug and cuddle. We have time to eat at least one meal together each day.We make time for family prayer every nightWe make time for family scripture study, discussions and lessons. (Puberty, dating, health, healing, leadership, personal development, language, logical fallacies…)We help create a foundation of faith through obedience to God’s directives and guidanceWe help them filter the false traditions of the world, clarify negative interpretations as they comeWe help our children be still to hear God and to practice manifesting clearly what we want by using their agency (power of choice) fullyWhen we live life fully we don’t need to get away from our life. We rest when our body wants to rest not when we are forced to rest because of sicknessWe can dress up more, put make up on, keep the house clean more oftenWe get more done when we are inspired then when we panic and rushWe have better health, relationship with each other and with God
