Subject: How to Take Care of Costume Jewelry

Some people have sensitive skin and want to wear costume jewelry
That has a wider variety of fashionable styles.
Some people like to wear costume jewelry and prefer to add nail
polish on their jewelry to protect it from tarnishing. I never
tried this, so I do not recommend it, especially since your skin
might be sensitive to the nail polish.

The best thing to do for sensitive skin is not to wear costume
jewelry and stick to your 14kt, 18k, 24k gold, platinum, 14k gold
fill, sterling silver, semi-precious, gem stones, crystal beads,
glass beads, wood beads or porcelain beaded jewelry if you’re not
allergic to them.

Again! I do not recommend using nail polish on your costume jewelry
trying to protect the jewelry from tarnishing. Especially since
your skin is sensitive.

I think the best thing to use if you are worried about the costume
jewelry and allergic is the Jewelry Shield product which is made
by Euro Tool. You can find this in some beaded stores or on their
website.

Here Is A Cheap Cleaning Remedy For Your Costume Jewelry:

Now! You are wondering what to do with your costume jewelry if it
Tarnishes? For brass jewelry, gold plate jewelry or gold costume
Jewelry, you could clean it with lemon juice, dilute in cool water,
in a small bowl for 2-3 minutes. Rinse off with cool water and wipe
with paper towel or an old t-shirt. This is the cheapest remedy
I personally use and it really works.

For silver plate or metal, you can use baking soda or toothpaste.
Just add a little baking soda or toothpaste on a damp paper towel
or an old T-shirt rub until clean, then rinse in cool water and wipe
and shine.

Here Are Other Ways To Clean Your Jewelry:

A. Keeping your jewelry in good condition is an important issue.
Here are some answers. Cologne, Hair Spray, Body Lotion Suntan
Lotion, should not be sprayed on when you’re wearing your jewelry?
Apply before you wear your jewelry. This would keep your jewelry
in good condition.

Remember to take off your jewelry when you are using harsh chemical
for your household chores.
This information pertains mostly to copper, brass, gold plate,
Pewter, Metal, Vermeil, Sterling Silver and Silver plate.

B. You must treat your jewelry with love, especially if it is a
special piece.

C. You notice your jewelry color has changed. Clean it with Liquid
Jewelry Cleaner. I sometimes use Myron Toback Gem & Jewelry Cleaner
which does a good job? The price is pretty reasonable. You could
also purchase an Ionic Cleaner which is very helpful with the
jewelry cleaner.

“Again….Do not put any harsh chemical on your jewelry.”

Take care of your Gems, Platinum, Gold and Diamonds.
