You might have heard of the podcast, The Emerald hosted by Josh Schrei.

I, personally, really enjoy it. (Tho I've gotta say some of my close friends and colleagues actively dislike it, leading to some interesting conversations!). I generally recommend the episode on Inanimate Objects aren't Inanimate (or objects) - as a brilliant exploration of animism.

A few months ago, my colleague Andrew Murray Dunn, who was then working with Center For Human Technology, was able to work with Josh to create a special podcast on AI: So you want to be a sorcerer in the age of AI?

It's one of my favorite podcasts about AI!

Andrew subsequently started the School of Wise Innovation, and the two of them subsequently brought their brilliances - and some of Andrew's incredible networks - together to create a course on "Embodied Ethics in the Age of AI" (Can we give it up for some great titles?)

Andrew invited me to come in as a guest speaker in conversation with Josh as part of that course. We now have turned it into a podcast. It is really just the three of us talking, and, honestly, it is only a little bit about technology. It's more about the bigger picture of how do we understand the moment that we are in, and some of where tech plays a role into that. My session came right after a session with several indigenous grandmothers, which I referenced. There's so much more to say on these topics!

Oh - and Andrew and I are doing a special series on circular time through the School of Wise Innovation! We are asking a Big Question - what might a calendar for a regenerative economy look like?

And - also - I've gotta say it's a bit ironic to be sharing this on Labor Day weekend, because of all of the conversation about how AI will - and will not - change the world of work aka the world of Labor. It's also the semi-official End of Summer: a time of last-ditch "get away" efforts. (This means I'm not "going away" cuz I don't like crowds...)
