Subject: Last chance to join Origin Stories — starts Thursday

Hi Friend,

All-righty friends, this is our last call!

Origin Stories — our 10-week mythopoetic storytelling course — begins this Thursday, May 28, at 12 pm EST. We have a few spots left. There is still time to join us.

We are living through a moment when the stories we tell about where we come from are being actively challenged, erased, or rewritten by forces outside of us. How we respond, be we climate leaders, educators, edge-walkers, inheritors, future ancestors, spiritual leaders, and people called to raise consciousness — matters.

This course is a rare space to storytelling work that is not easy to engage with elsewhere… and to do it together.

Over 8 live sessions across 10 weeks, you will:

→ Engage with your spiritual, cultural, and familial ancestors

→ Work with the stories of land, water, and place

→ Receive 1-on-1 coaching with Sara Jolena (a very high value!)

→ Get feedback on your draft story from the community and Sara Jolena

→ Engage with deep myths, complex meanings, nuanced thinking

Current participants - and Sara Jolena - are working on:

→ family stories relating to settler/colonial histories

→ spiritual journey stories

→ stories about the history of America and democracy

→ stories about participants' business/ministry/work in the world (super valuable if you are heading a team/organization/your own initiative)

→ big mythical stories (ie, Persephone/Demeter) as they intersect with personal/family experiences and working through their *shtuff.”

There's a lot of scope for you. There's a lot of meaning. There's also a lot of information on the course website. So here I’m just going to lift up what participants in the current cohort are saying:

"Sara Jolena is a skillful facilitator, creating engaging creative prompts and imaginative exercises involving ceremony and ritual. Every class session, she picks up the threads the participants lay down, and helps to weave together common themes... I encourage anyone embarking on an uncertain journey exploring Origins to take the leap into this course."

- Jennifer Rayman

"Class is a safe and welcoming container for the work, held by Sara Jolena's deep questioning and even deeper listening. I am grateful for the opportunity to grow toward a new perspective through this class."

- Norris Carlson

"Thank you for today's amazing and beautiful session. I could have kept going forever! It was really enlightening and has my mind going a million miles a minute. So so good. Thank you for this course, thank you for the questions, the curiosity, the structure....sigh. So good!"

- J.C.

"I've found the writing prompts and exercises to be very generative. I've learned a lot in the live sessions from Sara and the other participants... our (individual session) alone was worth the investment.... as to your question...a very clear answer came to me during a walk in the woods after our call....I was really excited to understand this so clearly for the first time in the context of my life story as opposed to just a spiritual path I read about and adopted."

- G. L.

If you are intrigued, well, now is the time. I do not plan to offer this course again in 2026.

You do not need to have your stories figured out. Showing up - at least sometimes - helps.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Many blessings,

Sara Jolena
