Mom's (Nita Johnson) birthday is coming!
On August 16th, we celebrate Mom's birthday!
She's spent her life sowing into the work of God's Kingdom. Always wanting to give, never asking to receive. It's a remarkable thing really, when you see a servant of God remain so unquestionably faithful to their calling in spite of the many obstacles and health challenges they face along the way.
This past year has been the most challenging of all, just over a year ago she suffered a stroke, and since then has spent months fighting her way back to health. Never wavering in her faith, consistently trusting that she was resting securely in the hands of her Lord.
I always stand in awe of my mom and am so thankful for the lessons she's taught us along the way.
Mom's ministry has always been one to the Prepare the Body for the days ahead while persistently drawing them into intimacy with our Lord and Savior, Jesus.
Many want to share their heart with Mom and let her know just how much this ministry has blessed them over the years, and this birthday in particular, is the perfect opportunity to do so! Last year she was in such poor condition due to the stroke, she honestly could not process the cards and letters sent to her, but God has done such a work healing her, she will be deeply touched by your messages.
Two years ago, she wept through every note, so humbled that her obedience to the Lord ministered to you all in the way it did. She loves you all so much!
We invite you to send in letters or cards to join us in this wonderful celebration of her life. We will box them up and ship them up to her in time for her birthday.

Here are some pressing needs our CedarWood department has:
- We provide weekend meals for 200 children monthly. Child Sponsorship - $34.99 per month provides essential nutrition to a child in need
- Shoes
- Blankets - All sizes
- Sleeping bags for the homeless
- Volunteers
- Diapers (Size 3 & up) & baby wipes
- Baby Food & Formula
- $5-$20 Gift cards for Gas for our volunteers who transport the food to and from the Pantry
Most donations can be dropped off during the Pantry or mailed into our office. Tax deductible receipts provided.
Coats & Clothes Closet:
Open Mondays and by appointment. We need volunteers to help organize and prepare clothing for visitors
The need is great and our numbers are increasing every week. Please pray that our volunteer base will increase as well!
