Dear Friends,

It takes a lot to run a ministry the size of World for Jesus. We have 22 staff members with 2/3 of those working in our CedarWood Department and the rest working on the prayer side of the ministry, Joel's Army, or filling book and CD requests.

In addition to paid staff members, we have dozens of volunteers that help us in a variety of areas from the Prayer Calls to our CedarWood Pantry. In the next week, I'll send out a letter talking a little more about our CedarWood Pantry and share a little more about this arm of our ministry and what it does in the Seattle area. I promise, it's much more than a canned food-drive kind of operation! With fresh meats, dairy, produce, and so on for hundreds of people every week, it's more like a grocery store!

Today, however, I would like to talk about the prayer side of the ministry and our need for someone to run the board for us.

Thanks to technology, we are able to have our Phone Gatherings, weekly teaching, and prayer calls via phone, app or computer, depending on your call in preference.

The "Board Operator" logs in about 4 pm PT, this is about 20 minutes before the call begins. He or she will start the pre-loaded music, pause it for Darrell to welcome everyone, hit the record button, sound the shofar, check to make sure all of our prayer leaders are on, and so on. At the end of the call, there's the Aaronic Blessing and closing. It is not a complicated position, but it is a key element in a successful and smooth prayer call for the intercessors. This is for our Thursday/Friday as well as our GOE service. This time slot is 4-7:30ish.

On Sunday, this position is more involved as we have an open line for people to participate in the prayer points and sometimes people forget to mute and we get background noise, so proper management is important. This is 4:30-7.

This position is a volunteer position, we rotate through our faithful board operators and when we have enough, the assignments are 1-2 times per month. Right now, however, because of changing work schedules and family obligations, our supply of Board Operators has dwindled down to just a few.

It's a wonderful opportunity to serve in the ministry from the comfort of your home. We are very flexible when it comes to the scheduling and plan it out 6 months in advance so you can let us know if you are going to be busy during a specific period and cannot serve.

You simply need a computer and access to the internet to serve this department. We provide the training.
