Dear Friends, We give thanks to our merciful Lord and Savior for what He's done for our Nation! He deserves all the glory, the honor, and praise for bringing President Donald J. Trump into office. We will once again witness righteousness pour out upon our land at the executive level! Thank you for joining us last Monday on our all-day prayer vigil, hundreds came together, many of you stayed on the line for hours at a time, further demonstrating your heart to see God's will done in our Nation! Recently I read a report listing the many ways this victory was a miracle and appreciated this victory even more! The obstacles were numerous, but your commitment to prayer coupled with the Christian's of our Nation who went out and voted brought this miracle to fruition! Praise God! The next two months will require deep intercession. The Lord desires that we pray in faith, not fear. So, do not fear what you see on the news, but rather pray for truth to come forth and settle in the hearts of the people (starting with yourself if need be). Our team has been running non-stop all summer and the Lord instructed Nita to give us, and the intercessors, a time of rest. As such we will not have corporate intercession this week. The Corporate Prayer Calls will resume Sunday, November 20th, and run both Tuesday and Wednesday before our Thanksgiving break. We'll return Tuesday, November 29th! We have a new call in number; 712-770-4160, the access code 182152# remains the same. Please do not cease to pray privately and in your prayer cell groups. I remind you of our Seattle, Gathering of the Eagles, December 8-10, 2016. This time is critical for our Nation, a final thrust of intercession prior to the changing of the guard on January 20, 2017. Join us for this Mini-GOE where you can learn more about President Trump's commission as Cyrus along with what is in store for the Nation in the days ahead! “How To Walk With God”
Session Five
Part B
By Nita Johnson
NOLA Revival Services June, 2011
From Last week:
Many Christians spend much of their time in front of TV, if not there, they are catching what they can on the internet. I saw many actors down there, some of them actors were my favorite actors when I was young, and I was shocked and horrified that they were in hell. He took me to see Marilyn Monroe and I wept. I had hoped that in her final moments she would have given your heart to the Lord. I asked: Lord, why is she here? He replied: Nita, you know when she was young she was Mine. I even took her up and showed her the New Heavenly Jerusalem, but she loved Hollywood. She gave herself over to the spirit of fame and fortune and although I showed her the beautiful city of New Jerusalem she chose to worship at the feet of human virtue and today, she is here.
We do not seek our own way. We do not seek justice or vindication, neither do we seek to hold onto grudges, bitterness, un-forgiveness or jealousy. People think that they can be a Christian—God loves them—and they can live for the world and still go to heaven. We need the ministry of the Holy Spirit! You see, people go to hell because they cannot go to heaven and I tell you the truth, when you love the world and the ways of the world, your soul cannot bear the glories of Heaven. There is no choice but for you to be in hell. You could not bear the bright presence of God or the holiness of His presence nor His righteous ways. You would go to heaven and you would be in rebellion in three minutes—I tell you the truth, I have been to both places many times.
Those in heaven could not bear to be in hell and those in hell could not bear to be in heaven. When I saw the movie stars, I recognized every face. They are sitting in theatre chairs talking to each other and a movie is about to start when suddenly this great wave of liquid-burning fire comes from some place on the other side of hell and flows over them and they scream and they are in anguish all the time this liquid fire is flowing over them. The Lord spoke to me and said: Lovers of fame and fortune. Every one of these people I am showing you accepted Me as their Savior when they were young, but fame and fortune brought them to this place. The Lord said lovers of self would be prominent in these days. You cannot be a lover of self and walk with Jesus, Whose whole life was the life of the cross. Going to the cross on Calvary was the most normal natural thing for Him because He had spent all His life at the cross, saying no to flesh and yes to God; no to the lust of the flesh and soul, yes to God; no to His own will, passions and desires and yes to God. Every time He said no to self and yes to God it made going to the cross easier.
Every time we say yes to self and no to God, the cross gets heavier. We love ‘self’. The main reason we want to walk with Jesus is because we love ourselves so much and we think it will be so fun to walk close to Him, right? Walking with Jesus is wonderful but it is not easy. I have yet to find someone who thought ‘death to self’ was easy—a life of dying to self. I have never known anyone to get up in the morning full of joy, clapping their hands because they get to die that day. Dying is not easy, but it is necessary.
The Lord spoke to me many years ago and brought me to a place of saying yes to the crucible by showing me what was deep inside of me. That experience scared me so badly I said: Lord, how can I ever become what You want me to become? Yes, take me into a crucible. I am too rebellious—I asked Him to take me into the crucible and I meant it with all my heart. I meant it so much that when I woke up in the middle of that night what I said hit me! “Lord, take me to the crucible.” Suddenly, I was so scared I thought, Lord what have I done, am I out of my mind? Crucibles are hot cauldrons of burning oil—and it hit me how horrible this idea really was. The Lord responded, “Nita, it takes a miracle love to say yes to the crucible.”
It is not fun to die and one of the main reasons it is so uncomfortable is because when we fail, we are so hard on ourselves. We wonder how could we do this to Him? Then, we get discouraged, then depressed... We made a little mistake and a week later we are finally picking ourselves up from that little mistake. If we keep our eyes set on Christ then He will get us there; He is love and He is calling.
Seek My face: The same God who said this, told Moses: My face you cannot see. When the Lord puts a love for a race of people in my heart I love their faces. I can remember when He put a love for the Native American people in my heart. I love to see their faces; whether or not I’ve met them before doesn’t matter—if they are Native American and I can see it in their face, I love their faces. Are you like that? Do you love to see the faces of the people you love? I don’t know what it tells me; whether it is their history, culture or something else, I just know I love their faces and God says: Seek My face. He wants us to love His face the way He loves ours. He wants us to get out from all the boundaries and boxes we have made for Him and quit seeking what traditions tell us to seek Him, and just seek His face.
We need to want to discover what Paul referred to as: the many wonders of His Person. Every wonderful, delicious, sacred, extremely awesome face we want to see and every time He reveals a new face, He is revealing a new part of His character which is why I love that He says: Seek My face. He says to Moses: My face you cannot see. He says to us: Seek My face. Since we love Him and do not want to find ourselves drifting from Him, we seek His face which brings us to another point: prayer binds us together with Him. The more you pray—the more hungry you become for prayer; the more hungry you become for prayer—the more you pray and the more you get to know Him.
He loves to reveal Himself to His people. I can remember in the early years of walking with the Lord I loved to be called to intercession because every time He gave me a new assignment, I automatically got to know more about Him. I got to know about the way He loves and thinks about people and circumstances etc. He would show me people I had never met. Once He showed me a woman sitting at a kitchen table and she had been drinking. She looked so sad and I said to Him: What is wrong with this woman? He said: She is an alcoholic and she is an alcoholic because her heart was broken a long time ago, but I want to save her. Will you pray for her? As I began to pray for her, I could feel her brokenness and the losses she had incurred in life until she was so hopeless she turned to drinking. I prayed and prayed for her until the Lord said: You have done well; I can now break this off her and bring her to Me. So, what did I learn? I learned His compassion and mercy. I learned how He loves the failing heart. He does not sit in judgment of those who fail; He loves them tenderly and longs to draw them near.
To be continued next week…
In His Amazing Love, Nita Johnson
