420 College attending California BMCR meeting.

The Bureau of Medical Cannabis Regulation (BMCR) and Office of Medical Cannabis Safety
(OMCS) held their first pre-regulatory stakeholder meeting in October. In the meeting they discuss and collect input on issues related to general licensing requirements, and specific
concepts related to the regulation of medical cannabis dispensaries, distributors,
manufacturers, and transporters.

Meeting objectives:

- Provide an update on the development of the regulatory framework for the Medical
Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act.
-Gather input and explore alternatives on specific regulatory concepts related to
dispensaries, distributors, manufacturers, testing laboratories, and transporters.

420 College does not only teach compliance in California, we also believe that continuous education is key. Be a part of the change!
Proposition 64 (AUMA)
This might be the most talked about measure on the November ballot, while voters approved marijuana for medical needs in 1996 (prop 215), they rejected a full legalization in 2010. Now Prop 64 is here in 2016, backed by big names such as Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom and Sean Parker, creator of Napster and former Facebook President.

The proposal-Marijuana and hemp would be legal under state law but will still be illegal under federal law.

--Sales limited to those over the age of 21
--Adults 21+ will be able to possess, transport, purchase and consume, although smoking cannabis in public will still be illegal.
--Driving while impared is still illegal
--State taxes would be collected from buyers
--Most tax revenue would go towards law enforcement and marijuana education programs.
