I've been a little (or a lot) quiet lately, because the truth is...

I don't really know what I am doing.

Doesn't that just make you want to hitch your wagon to me!

But, it's true.

Here's what I do know...

If you want to truly build a long term, legacy for you, your family, and for those you want to serve...

You can't just "promote" things that seem like the "hottest" or most "shiny" thing.

Because to build something meaningful, it truly has to mean something to you.

It has to give you energy on the days you have none.

It has to keep you up, thinking of how you can better serve those you're called to, and given to serve.

This took me years to figure out.

And I find I'm still adjusting my focus as I understand God's call more and more on my life.

Here are the pillars that I'll be building around because they have meaning to me.

They give me energy instead of taking it away.

They have over and over and over again been not a "feeling," but a call from God.

1. Obviously, faith in Jesus above all else.

Yes, I want more time getting to know Him in prayer and study.

And yes, I want to spend more time being the hands and feet and heart of Jesus to those who need Him.

But, more than that even...

Is that I am tired of living for the temporal, worldly rewards.

I want to build my life and business in a way that produces eternal reward.

In a way that builds the Kingdom and extends into eternity.

To me, what I make, and do, and build here only matters if it benefits eternity.

If it builds and contributes to God's Kingdom.

2. Family and community

More time with my own family, contributing to those that have needs I can serve...

As well as, and contributing to the one we are building together in community.

3. Fitness

Not just "good" health...

But being truly fit and full of energy and strength to serve and give massive amounts of myself to others in need for as long as God needs me.

4. F.reedom producing lncome.

I'm talking about true weaIth.

Which to me means...

The ability to create massive amounts of time, lncome, and personal choice all at the same time.

So, we can at ANY moment God calls on us, go and serve the people in our family...

In our communities.

And around the world that need us.

For far too long, too many followers of Jesus have hid behind the inaction of "thoughts and prayers."

Most of the world, doesn't want that from us.

The reality is, most kinda don't like us for even saying that.

Because what the world needs is our time.

Our talents.

Our tr.easure.

And the real physical presence of what should be the most loving and giving and present community on earth.

But no matter what you decide to do, I'd highly recommend spending some time today thinking about your own pillars.

What gives the work you plan on doing to build your legacy meaning?

What gives you energy, and drive, and is something you feel called and pulled towards?

Those are the things that will allow you to build something long term...

With focus, and energy, and unwavering determination.

And step out of the shiny objects, and unfulfilling and unsuccessful projects for good.
