I asked a member of our community yesterday what their action step was for the day in their to build their online lncome, and this was the response...

"Nothing. I get in a rut like we can all slip into."

First, I'll say... don't give yourself permission to make this excuse.

Let me explain...

What do you do for your j-o-b?

The reason I ask is that it’s unlikely that you’d show up to your job tomorrow...

Do absolutely nothing...

And then when your boss asked you what you did all day, you say…

“Nothing. We all get in a rut sometimes.”

Depending on your j-o-b and your boss, you might be fired on the spot.

The reason for me saying that isn’t to make you feel bad, but to remind you that building a b.usiness is a lot like a job.

You just have to show up and do the work on a daily basis.

Some days you’ll want to.

Others days you won’t.

But, if we don’t show up and do the work…

We don’t get paid.

Same as a j-o-b.

So, while many are looking to escape the j-o-b right now, the b.usiness we decide to build still has to be run like one.

We show up.

We work with the same consistency.

We get results.

Hopefully that hits home.

I wish somebody would have made that clear to me lots of years ago when I thought b.usiness was only about showing up when I felt like it.

When I did that, I struggled.

But, when I just started showing up everyday like it was a j-o-b, I started to win.

And over time, I could create way more in less time than I ever did at a j-o-b.

But, only because I showed up with the same consistency.

Here's a solution for you.

Have at a bare minimum, an hour a day that’s untouchable.

That’s for your building your b.usiness.

It could be an hour straight.

It could be 2 - 30 minutes sessions.

But schedule it like a j-o-b and don’t miss it.

If you can schedule more time... Do it.

Because you can scale faster.

The excuses that the world gives won’t help us move out of it.

As entrepreneurs, we have to be different.

More focused.

More disciplined.

Desiring to do more, have more, be more, and give more.
