• CFA in 2026: Some good news, there are no curriculum changes for L1 and L3 in 2026 vs 2025. However, we are awaiting more information for L2. For those still on the fence, we summarize the CFA charterholder requirements, and also discuss other alternative qualifications which may suit your needs better.

• Is CAIA still worth it? Given CFA Institute's launch of Level 3 Private Markets pathway, is CAIA still a worthwhile designation to pursue? One of our longtime readers and lovely supporter - Lydia R. - shares her point of view as both a CFA and CAIA charteholder, and we chimed in with our views too. • What about CPA? Perhaps not exactly the glitziest finance career, the demand for Certified Public Accountants' (CPAs) services are projected to grow above average in the next 5 years, according to US Bureau of Labor Statistics. We think it deserves more consideration as a finance career given its attractive risk profile: relatively high pay, stable and lower stress vs 'high finance' careers.
