Dear Friend,

The story is told about a group of fifty (50) people who once attended a seminar. The speaker suddenly stopped in the middle of his presentation and started giving each person a balloon with an instruction to write their names on it using a marker. After that, he collected the balloons, mixed them together in another room and then instructed each person to search for their personalized balloons with their names written within 5 minutes.

Everyone was frantically searching, pushing and colliding with each other in utter chaos. At the end of the stipulated 5 minutes, no one could find their personalized ballon. Then each person was asked to randomly pick a balloon, look at the name written on it and pass it on to the person whose name was tagged. Within minutes, everyone had their own balloons in quietness and mutual cooperation. 

The Speaker resumed his presentation by relating this story to our everyday life. In our world, people frantically search for happiness every day, everywhere not knowing where it is or finding it at all cost. Simply put, individual happiness in life lies in the happiness of other people – It is when we learn to help others find true happiness in their lives that we get ours with fulfilment.

This week, extend your generosity and smiles to someone. Lend a helping hand, give counsel, mentor someone. Help people around you learn new skills. Helping others to succeed in life is the seed of our significant living.
