Subject: Digital Accelerant Newsletter: MUST READ for Text Marketers

Hello Sharks!!
We have a number of things to bring you today. If you are sending marketing texts to anyone who lives in Texas, this information is very important.

The Texas Mini-TCPA

First, we wanted to make sure everyone is aware of the Texas Mini-TCPA for those who send texts to residents of Texas. It is VERY important that you read this (and search for other sources on it) to understand what this means for your business.

The good news is that if you are texting with us, our texts remain compliant. However as the doctrine states you still must register with the state of Texas if you are sending texts to residents there. Please consult your lawyer if you have any questions.
We have updated our texting process.

We wanted to make absolutely sure our texting process is fully compliant with all federal regulations and take into account as many state regulations as we could find. So you might notice a slight change in how the process works.

Customers who have no ability to text back or integrate with other CRMs will see no change.

Digital Accelerant Texting: You will notice the new "handoff" message that comes from the 321 number to tell them to expect a follow-up from your assigned Twilio number. Your number will automatically deliver the opt-in message as well as the card itself.

"Quiet Time"
Many states are adopting their own rules and they are consistent in not wanting marketing texts after a certain hour at night or before a certain hour in the morning. We will automatically reject any message that falls in that time slot, extending each boundary by one hour to be safe.

GoHighlevel: After we send them your card, we now send a "hand-off" message from our 321 number that tells them to expect a text from you. Please see the new packet that gets sent to your account when someone texts your keyword and we forward the information on to you. There is proof of opt-in which you should grab and store with each record. Also note that it is YOUR OBLIGATION to send them an opt-in message before you send any marketing texts. Here is an example:

“Thanks for connecting with [Business Name]!
By replying YES, you agree to receive text messages from us at this number about updates, promotions, and offers.
Message and data rates may apply.
You can reply STOP anytime to unsubscribe
or HELP for assistance.”
NEW Features in our CRM!

We now have the ability to Add a New Prospect manually to our CRM. Since that user has not yet opted in to your texting, you will not be able to text them back and you'll see these prospects will have a gray background. This does get updated if they do end up opting in. But this is helpful to track prospects who may purchase from you at some point.

You'll also see that we have a new "Source" column. These are icons of some prominent platforms and/or networking groups that you may be using to cull clients from. This helps you see how many are coming in from any particular source.

Pay attention to the "Star" and the ability to "Convert" to client status. The Convert process is used after the starred prospect (a real opportunity, not just a tire kicker) actually becomes a client. The conversion process now includes the ability for you to enter a deal size in dollar amount. If you have the new "Godfather" package, you will have access to daily and monthly analytics that will allow you to track close rate, deal size and number of opportunities. This will encourage you to increase those numbers each month.
As always, I'm here if you need me. But remember I can be of little help with questions about the Texas Mini-TCPA, other than the fact that we comply with all regulations.
Regards,

-Gabe
