Subject: what I do to "generate blog content"?

Hi Friend

Do you struggle to
come up with ideas
for blog posts?

I often have people
tell me things like this…

"Wow, what a great
thing to write about"

or

"This is such a big
issue, but I never
see anybody write
about it. Thanks."

I consider this email
list to be a community.

Sure, I send out stuff
to help you with your
blogging business.

But that's a one-way
communication.

It's me telling you
something.

But you know what?

This is a community
because I usually ask
for your feedback,
questions, comments
etc.

I simply ask that you
"reply" to any email
I write so we can have
a little conversation.

No, I don't always get
back to everybody.

But I try to.

I think I usually do,
so have gotten to
know a lot about many
of you.

Well the other day
for instance, somebody
emailed me this"

"You seem to have an
endless flow of great,
great blog ideas. I
just always copy what
everybody else says.
But I'm running dry.
Can you help me with
that?

Now, this is actually a
question I've gotten
many times…

how to generate blog content?

So It’s time for me to give
you some quick tips I use
myself that work for me.

I’m sure it can work for you too.

1.  Read other blogs as much as you can.

When you do this, open a document
on your desktop and jot down ideas
you will get from a blog that interests you.

2.  Read comments on other blogs and your own.

There are many ideas you can get
from a person’s comment on a blog post.

3.  Ask questions on your blog or social media…
even on your email list :)

Something like “What would you
like to read about?”

You can even make it a fancy
questionnaire or survey
(I rarely do, but it is a good idea).

Offer your readers a few topics and
see what THEY want to know.

Then write about it.

4.  Always stay in touch with
your email list and ask them
what they need to know.

5.  Social media is a fine
place to get ideas in your
niche of what you want to
write about.

6.  Sometimes if you are
wracking your brain to figure
out what to write about, it is a
“sign” that you need to clear your mind.

Take a walk, go to your favorite
place, pet a dog….

anything that will take your
mind off of thinking what
you should write.

You will then receive clarity.

7.  Jot down all your ideas
even when you are out and about.

I can walk into a retail store
(I often do, haha) and see how
their business can grow if only
they were online.

I’ll jot down everything and voila...
a blog post is born.

8.  No matter what your niche is,
keep reading…keep learning
and never stop.

Then share it with your readers.

Make content part of your life,
not something you sit at a
blank page and wonder about.

And hey, if you've got
questions or reactions
to this email…

I'd love to see you here.
