Is your world spinning out of
control these days?
Holiday Season…
Much to do in your life.
Much to do on your blog.
You're trying to get ahead a bit
so maybe you don't get stuck
writing your last blog post of
2016 on New Years eve.
Things are hectic, but…
Do things at your own pace.
When working on the internet,
things are moving so fast you
might feel like you are on a
carousel going round and round.
I know, I can get that feeling myself.
I've got so many projects "in progress"
and I'm trying to get ready for my
niece and her kids to visit.
So much to do, so little time.
So If you do feel like this take this advice.
Be on that carousel but have the
power to slow it down.
That’s right!
Imagine all those things spinning
in your head but know you are
in control.
Here's a little exercise to keep
you in control.
Close your eyes for a moment
and imagine that you can
control it all.
Make it all go in slow motion.
Now look at each thing carefully
like you would if you were on
a carousel.
You would see pink horses
painted in detail.
Pay careful attention to
the detail.
Each and every little brush
stroke.
Then see the benches, the
floor, the people on the horses.
Hear the music.
Isn't that great?
Carousel music?
Wow, the memories…
for me, it brings me back
to my childhood visits to the
amusement park at Coney Island.
How about you?
Now switch gear a bit.
Look at your business and all
the new and shiny things you
can use, but take it slow.
Just make a list of them on your
Evernote or a notepad.
Get it off your mind.
Then return to study each one
and see if it is something you
really need to grow your
business.
Don't just buy every shiny
little thing you see and think
you'll use it "one day."
You probably never will
Slow down.
My dear friend…
don't feel like you have to
jump and twist and turn
to "keep up" with all the
stuff going on in your
inbox, and on your
favorite sites.
Slow the spin.
Stop the world.
Enjoy the holiday season.
Do things at your own pace.
