I have been pretty busy
working with private clients
these days.
Most of them have blogs,
but not all.
But here’s one thing
I see that is common
to ALL of them.
They want to become
an influencer…
or,
They want to become
an influencer to an
expanding audience.
You see, some of these
folks are already pretty
influential.
They are professionals
who already have a
clientele.
But now they want to
grow an audience.
An audience is different
than a clientele.
An audience is people
who start understanding
that you are a valuable
person to follow.
They realize they should
start paying more attention
to you, and what you do
and say.
And they are always
prospects for your business
or professional practice.
So learning how to be
and influencer is a big
deal.
In fact, getting back to
my own clients…
they are working really
hard to become influential,
or more influential.
Because they know that
means a bigger audience.
And that leads to more
readers, email subscribers,
buyers and clients.
Think of yourself.
When you go to buy
something, or hire
someone to do something
for you…
don’t you gravitate toward
people who are influential.
By “influential” - I mean
people who get listened
to.
People whose opinions
mean something.
I’m sure you do.
It’s because if someone
is an influencer, they
instantly earn your trust.
Then, if they have a good
business model in place,
they can easily earn profits.
That’s why everyone wants
to be an “influencer.”
But so many people think
that it’s too hard to be
an influencer.
They have to go back
to college, or write a
book, or build a social media
following in the thousands.
I’ll tell you what …
it doesn’t require any of
those things.
But it does require
these…
1. Always be visible
Let people see you.
Here
There
everywhere.
Facebook
your blog
other blogs
youtube
etc.
everywhere they
go and everything
they do… if they
are part of your
target audience they
should at least know
who you are, even
if they don’t know
a lot about you.
That’s called branding.
Just by seeing you
“everywhere” they
will trust you.
And they’ll want to
do business with
you when the time comes.
2. Be Caring
If people see you giving
great value…
they know you care.
If they see you doing
whatever you do consistently,
daily, without fail…
they know you care.
If you offer them High Value
free advice, or webinars
or ebooks or blog posts…
they know you care.
Because you care, they
will want to do business
with you when the time comes.
That’s it!
Put yourself in front of
your target audience
every day.
Offer them High Value
every time.
You will see results
if you have a high
converting business
model in place to take
advantage of your growing
influence.
In fact, building a high
converting business
model is one of the main
things I work on with
my private clients…
but that’s a story for
another day.
So get out there today,
and every day…
let people know who
you are,
what you have to offer
to improve their lives,
and make sure you
demonstrate how much
you really care about
helping them.
That’s how YOU can
become an influencer.
