Hi Friend
As an online business
and blogging coach,
you can well imagine
that I get this complaint
quite often.
“Everything is going wrong?
“Everything I try fails.
“Nothing I do seems to work.
“I just go from one failure to another.
“Just when I think I've got
something going in the
right direction… it flips
around and goes the
wrong way.”
So all this failure talk
is really rooted in the
concept of “the end.”
People think it's over.
Do you?
Have you ever had
these kinds of thoughts?
“I just wrote an e-book
nobody wants - that's the end.
“I just tried a network
company. But I couldn't get
get it going. It's The End.
“I tried my hand at
affiliate marketing, but
I didn't make any sales.
That’s it for me.
The End.”
You see…
people always see trouble
as The End of the road.
They tried something.
They failed.
It's The End.
Is that how you settle
things in your mind when
everything goes wrong?
Well I would like to
suggest something.
It's not the end.
In fact, you'll probably
be trying something
else very soon.
So why not take these
things that Did Not work,
and figure out Why.
And think of all the things
you learned along the way.
You probably picked
up some skills.
Or knowledge.
Or deeper understanding
of your business, or yourself.
So instead of thinking of
these moments as The End,
see them as the beginning.
In fact, they are the beginning
of the next thing you'll do.
So instead of saying
“why me”
how about saying
“what’s next?”
Maybe this thing you
just went through that
failed has prepared you
for the next thing that
will succeed.
In fact, I'll bet that's
exactly the case.
But when you're in
the middle of failure
or disappointment it's
hard for you to see that.
When you're driving
down a windy road…
do you know what's
around the corner?
Of course not.
But if you stop
and turn around
and go back home…
you'll never know.
It could be that around
the next corner is the
most exciting part of
what you've been working
toward all this time.
So what's next for you?
If you've had more than
your share of disappointments
and failures…
or even if you just have not
gotten exactly the kinds of
results that you've been
hoping for lately…
I'd like you to take a moment
today and ask yourself this.
“What have I learned
from this experience?
“What skills and knowledge
have I picked up that
can move me forward.
“What's around the corner
for me?
“What's next?”
Talk Soon,
Donna
