Hi Friend
I was just having my
coffee, and talking
aka strategizing with David.
We do this every
morning.
There was a time that
we actually recorded
our morning “coffee
chat” sessions and
posted them on my
FB Page.
But we stopped.
You know how that
goes.
Do something for a
while, then flake out.
Move on.
But we never actually
stopped doing our
morning coffee chats,
we just stopped recording
them for our FB Page.
Anyway, that’s not
even the point of this
message.
The point is that during
our morning chats, we
are the masters of our
universe.
We block out everything
going on around us,
and we focus on what
strategy to run with…
for the day
for the week
for our next product
for our next marketing campaign
etc
etc
etc
Now, here’s where I
see a lot of people struggle.
#1 they get all caught
up in the Big “Masters
of the Universe”…
the people who run
Everything.
You know who they are.
FB
Twitter
Google
YouTube
Instagram
The Huge Bloggers
and on and on.
They worry about what
Mark Z. is doing, or
Gary V. or Neil Patel.
What are they saying?
What is their strategy?
How can “I” be part
of it all.
How can I be accepted?
How can I get more
friends and influence.
How can I get FB
and Google to rank me
higher and give me more
“reach” with my peeps.
#2 in all this obsessive
concern about what
The Masters of the Universe
are doing… you tend to
forget that it is actually
YOU who are the master
of your own universe.
You control your destiny.
The big guys can do
stuff, and maybe some
of it effects you and
your business.
But you can always
adjust to it.
So, maybe you should
spend more time thinking
about what YOU will
do today, and less about
what THEY are doing.
