Subject: [Blogging to the Bank] Here's "how to build a great email list" - with your blog

Hi Friend

I promised to show
show you how to make
your blog the center-
piece of your email
program, so you can

1. build your blog

2. get sales

I know this has been
a pretty lengthy
newsletter series,
but I'm doing it
because many, many
of you have been
asking how to do this.

So let me show you
briefly how this can
work on your blog.

You have a blog
(or it could be
a website, or a
Facebook page or
any place online
where you "do
business."

This is where you
connect with your
crowd of followers
and friends and
peers.

So, this is the
best place to build
your email list.

Forget about buying
ads, placing banners
on other sites and
all the other stuff
marketers do.

Yes, you could build
a list in that way,
but it will be mostly
"cold" leads...

They will be people
who don't know you
or what you do.

It's much better to
work with people who
are familiar with
you and are ready to
get your emails and
read them!

Remember... it's far
far far more important
to have a small list of
people who will read
and engage with your
newsletter, than a big
list of people who pay
very little attention
to them.

So, here's the first
thing you need to
do to build an email
list on your blog,
WHILE you build your
blog.

Write more content
that your readers
want and need.

The more content
you put on your blog,
the more often people
will visit it.

The more often you
post to your blog,
then you have that
many more opportunities
to blast your new
post out to Twitter,
Facebook and other
places.

Every time you post
your "new article",
people interested
in that topic will
visit your blog.

Do you write
3,000 word blog
posts?

It's good to do.

But I'd like to
see you try this
(and I'll be doing
more of this on
my blog, too).

Break a 3,000 word
article into three
1,000 word articles.

Post one on Monday,
another on Wed and
the third of Friday...

You can change the
numbers and days
around, but try
spreading your
content out over
more time.

It gives you many
more opportunities
to get fresh eyes
to your blog.

Now, once they're
on your blog, you
can set it up to
convert them into
email subscribers.

This is getting way
too long, so I'll
pick up the lesson
at this point the
next time.

Meanwhile, click
the reply and let
me know if this
is resonating with
you and your business
model.

I'd love to hear
from you and I make
every effort to get
back to everyone
who take the time
to reply to my emails.

Talk Soon,

Donna
