April Wine Club!

Oh Spring, the most magical season of the year. We may not see much of it in Sunny California but in the Pacific Northwest that is where the beauty of the season is showcased. Let us take you on a journey to the land bounded by the glorious Cascades and explore the magnificent wines that the region has to offer.
Classico members will enjoy a scrumptious Viognier from Washington’s countryside and a delicious fruity Oregonian Pinot. Riserva will drink the libation that is an Oregonian Chardonnay and a deep and rich Washington Merlot Cab Franc blend.
We’ve included Youtube links to recipes so you can pair your wine perfectly with some great cuisine!

Classico Club

Fausse Piste 2013 Viognier
Yakima Valley, Washington
A spectacular Viognier sourced from high elevation cool climate sites in the Columbia River Gorg and Applegate Valley. A very persistent minerality is a staple with this wine along with its body, slight butteriness and notes of caramel and citrus. Definite oak presence with honeysuckle at the palate. Brightly acidic and truly addicting, the perfect go-to for anyone looking for a refreshing drink with some body-ody-ody!

The Very Best Chicken Sandwich

Broadley Pinot Noir 2016 Willamette Valley, Oregon
Coming from a family whose made wine for 25 plus years, this Oregon Pinot stand true to the ones produced in Willamette. A bouquet of red fruit runs through the glass straight into your mouth and adds an elegant coating onto the palate. Concentrated flavors of ripe raspberry and cherry open up for a deep mid-palate. An impressive fruit forward Pinot with balanced acidity.

Mushroom, Leek and Tarragon Pasta

Riserva Club

North Valley Soter Chardonnay
Willamette Valley, Oregon
Aromas of white flowers, tangerine zest and banana , with pear nectar and green apple predominate this Chardonnay while at the palate you get lemon custard, key lime, hints of marzipan and liquid minerals. Mouth watering, right? With its lingering finish and dryness, this refined wine is the perfect substantial pairing for a plethora of dishes.
Soter Vineyards is a powerplayer in Wilamette Valley, situated in a 240 acre savana-like oak grazing land that is Mineral Springs Ranch, this vineyard has paved its way among its fellow competitors. It uses incredibly biodiverse landscape and opts out of the use of pesticides, sheep and goats are the main assistants who do the mowing and clearing of weeds!

Creamy Pasta with Mushrooms and Prosciutto

J. Bookwalker Suspense 2014 Columbia Valley, Washington
J. Bookwalker is a distinguished winery from Washington and has created some true masterpieces, this wine is a testament to their work. This wine is made of 65% Merlot and 35% Cab Franc. Big tannins, deep ruby color and marriage of flavors makes this an ideal wine for both wine connoisseurs and casual wine lovers.

Saffron Rice Cake
April Cheese & Charcuterie Club!

We’re driving up the 5 FWY not to San Francisco, but to the immaculate land that is the American North West. Known for its nature, known for its culture, known for its...rain. We are bringing to you a side you may have not seen before! For April’s Cheese Club you’ll get a first hand look at Oregon’s finest cheese and charcuterie concoctions, starting with a unique cheddar from Rogue’s Creamery infused with a nice and deep Chocolate Stout by Rogue Ale. As for the charcuterie, we are showcasing a Landrauchschinken Smoke Ham which is encrusted with burnt sugar and served like prosciutto. A ham that is like no other you’ve had before, incredibly flavorful and delicate!
For a perfect pairing grab some of our Wine Club wines to ensure the flavor results!
Cheddar Rogue Chocolate Stout
Central Point, Oregon

Chocolate Stout Cheddar is a collaboration between Rogue Creamery’s classic hand-milled Cheddar and Rogue Ale’s Chocolate Stout. The beer is poured over curd before, allowed to bond and later hand dipped and pressed into blocks for aging. Flavours are savory and tangy, balanced by the sweetness and coffee notes of the stout. Buttery and creamy aromas are abound and highlighted by a hint of ale.

Landrauchschinken Smoked Ham
Portland, Oregon
Cure loins for 18 days, soak them in burnt sugar, flavor them with a touch of juniper and rosemary and then smoke them over apple and hickory wood-what does that give you? The must-have that is known as Landrauchschinken Smoked Ham of course. Best way to serve is like prosciutto, just remove the skin, thinly slice and voila!

Be sure to enjoy with your warm, crisp Barsha Baguette!
