VPH meets with European Commission 
On 26 August 2014, members of the VPH Policy Affairs Working Group (PAWG), met in Brussels at a crucial meeting with the European Commission’s DG connect and DG Research. 
Horizon 2020 projects under budget threat
The Commission will see a shortfall of 40% of funding commitments to researchers which could lead to the Commission failing to make good on their contractual arrangements and putting many research projects under threat. Read more

The GRANATUM web portal is now online, ready to connect biomedical researchers. The public GRANATUM IT platform provides access to information about cancer research and established pharmaceutical agents from 83 global data sources in an integrated, semantically interlinked manner. Read more
TRANS-FUSIMO: innovative ultrasound tumor removal
Tumor removal without a scalpel or x-rays is now possible due to a special type of ultrasound. Strong, concentrated ultrasonic waves are directed at the patient's body in such a way that they heat and kill individual cancer cells. Read more
