Leading European biobank establishes collaborative ties 
with computational physiology
In occasion of a satellite symposium during VPH2014, representatives of the VPH Institute and the Hunt Research Centre agreed to work on a common strategy to make computational physiology become an integral part of human biobank concept development.  Read more

Debate on the Horizon 2020 structural shortage of payment
On September 16th, a debate was held in the European Parliament on structural funding for Horizon 2020 during which new budgetary issues were highlighted. Read more
EC Launches PPP on Big Data
On October 13th, the European Commission launched a public-private partnership (PPP) with the European data industry due to start on January 1st 2015. Read more
Parliament and Council Approve new Commission
On October 22nd, the European Parliament approved the new European Commission led by Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker. Read more

Third Avicenna Project Meeting
in Sunny Lyon
The Avicenna Project met for their third event on 31st October 2014 in Lyon, France. The group of 50 expert stakeholders, from industry, regulatory affairs and academia, came together to discuss the research challenges of modelling and simulation technologies, in the development of pharmaceutical products and medical devices. Read more
