Subject: Hi Friend! Only a few spaces left in "Vocal Explorations" at Resound NW

Start the Summer with Singing!
The weather is changing, and Portland is blooming all around us!  Maybe it's time for your voice to bloom, too!

I had a student in my office last week who said to me, "I would have NEVER had the courage to try singing without these lessons.  Our time together had opened up possibilities I never thought were possible."

Resound NW is a place to sing, and I can tell you, there's a lot of singing that happens here!

Cheers!
Daniel Buchanan

"Vocal Explorations" Starts This Week: Only A Couple Spaces Remain!
Would you like to take a singing class like nothing you've ever experienced?  "Vocal Explorations" starts this Wednesday, June 6, and there's still a couple spots left!
Vocal Explorations

Time: Wednesdays, 2:00-3:30pm
Dates: June 6, 13, 20, and 27, 2012 (4 classes)
Cost: $99
Level: Beginning/Intermediate/Advanced

Learn to sing outside the box!  Vocal Explorations is an opportunity to find freedom, joy, and strength through singing.  It’s equal parts singing class and food for the soul.  This exciting group experience is a fun and active mixture of vocal technique, breathing, vocal sound, improvisation, awareness, guided visualization, movement, dance, and rhythm.

Singing can be incredibly vulnerable and personal.  It is very common to feel self-conscience about one’s voice.  Quite different from a traditional voice class, Vocal Explorations is not about “getting it right” or achieving perfection.  The experience is about YOUR journey – getting acquainted with your voice and finding freedom to make sound.  As we support one another, we will all find strength, connection, community, and joy through singing.

Playback Theater Portland at The 1 Festival

Playback Theater is an improvisational form of theater whereby audience members tell a story from their lives and watch them enacted on the spot by an ensemble of actors and musicians. The focus is on illuminating the essence of the story using spoken improvisation, movement, ritual, and music. This powerful form of listening and storytelling is an unforgettable experience.
