Also, did you hear that we have 2 new instructors on our staff?
Sophie Lippert is a pianist, piano teacher, and musical coach. With many years of experience performing and teaching, she has a degree in piano performance from Rice University and has played in some pretty amazing places, including soloing with the Seattle Symphony. She teaches piano lessons to kids and adults and brings a varied approach that includes training in Waldorf education and much more.  (You might also know Sophie because she was a member of our SoulSinging class.)

Courtney Freed is a singer, actor, voice teacher, and creativity coach. Courtney has her degree in musical theater from Loyola Marymount and has performed a bunch in NY, LA, Chicago and Portland. Courtney has a varied background but is a specialist in musical and jazz styles.  In addition to private voice lessons, she teaches a class for cabaret performers, hosts regular open mic events, and can be seen performing frequently in Portland.  Courtney's about to perform a tribute show to Freddie Mercury (of Queen).

At Resound NW

This non-scripted art form re-enacts true stories told by audience members in creative and engaging vignettes that honor the story-tellers. An emcee, or Playback Conductor, facilitates the evening, and all stories told are true. They can include moments from long ago, something happening today, or even hopes for the future. Sometimes the stories are serious, sometimes they are funny, and sometimes they are both.

All shows are pay-what-you-can, cash or card at the door, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. We want to see you there!

You are also welcome to join us post-show at either The Goose Hollow Inn or the Leaky Roof, both within walking distance.
