Dear Friends,

Join us this Sunday as we acknowledge the wondrous power of the cross.   The cross is perhaps the world's most popular symbol, and is perhaps the least understood.   Even those that heard Jesus first speak about the cross were, at times, thoroughly confused.  (Mark 8:31-38)

In light of the difficult moment in which we find ourselves, the cross reflects both the mystery of our lives and the hope we desperately need.

Life is crazy busy and hard.   That's why we need to gather under the canopy of grace, in the presence of the One who gives us true peace.

See you at 8 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.!
GATHERING OPPORTUNITIES

Refugee Family Thank You Update—After recent bed bug exterminations from our refugee’s apartment, we received a donated mattress, box spring and frame. Thank you to Matt Gates (husband of Pilgrim’s 2nd/3rd grade teacher) for helping with the move and transportation. At the last minute (in the bitter cold) it was discovered that the metal bed frame did not fit the mattress. Stephanie Zimmerman called Mattress Firm at the corner of Western and Lawrence, with plans to buy the cheapest frame and pick it up on the way to the family's apartment. When Stephanie explained the Bethany-Pilgrim Project to sponsor a refugee family, the manager, Shaun O'Brien, surprised everyone with a top-of-the-line bed frame -- for FREE!  Thank you, Mattress Firm!
