Dear Friends,

There is a word in scripture that inspires both disdain and hope, defensiveness and renewal. A word that both riles us up and releases us from undue stress.

Come find out what word we're talking about this Sunday! Join us at 9:30 a.m.

We are collecting a love offering for each teacher. You may write checks to Pilgrim and write the name “Huelskoetter” or the name “Daczyszyn” on the memo line.

FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES
June is the month for beautiful brides, fresh-faced graduates and handsome and loving dads!  Why not purchase a gift card from Pilgrim to honor them, whether it be from a specialty store, such as Bed, Bath and Beyond, Macy's, Carson's, Crate & Barrel, William-Sonoma, Dick's, Bass Pro Shop, Barnes & Noble, iTunes or a generic one, such as Visa $50 (no activation fee) or Amazon ($10, $25, 50 or $100). This week we will be selling after the Sunday service and in the school office on Tuesday, May 31stand Friday from 8:30 to 10 am. We will be placing an order on Tuesday for the following week which will be available on Wednesday or Thursday.  You may also contact Anne Barsano at cbarsano@aol.com or 773-472-6037 to place an order and arrange for pick up.

Pilgrim Playlot Project Update—The play deck renovation for our younger children is under way!  We thank those who have contributed to help us get this far:  Most recently, the Ravenswood manor garage sale and many friends and family donations, and now we also thank those who have contributed to the Mrs Mowery memorial fund. Her passion for early childhood education will be remembered and honored.  Your generous donations have pushed the fund up to $21,000.  Of course, it’s not too late to contribute!  We are looking for additional sponsors for a rubber playground tile for $100 each.  We started with a goal of 165, and now we have 148 more to go.  We are planning for renovations in the month of August. Help us out if you can! To donate today, drop a check in the office, or donate on our website www.pilgrimchurchandschool.org
