Dear Friends,

Join us for worship for our “School Year” schedule on Sundays at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. This Sunday, we invite you to come back to church and to come home to God’s love.

There’s a lot going on right now. A lot. We need God and we need each other more than ever.

It’s hard to get to church for many reasons. But once we get there, we know we’ve done the right thing. Our soul begins to breathe, and find the grace and the positive focus we need for another week.

And also, this Sunday, we will be saying a special prayer of appreciation for long time Pilgrim member and school volunteer Irma Gronau as she prepares to move to Wisconsin. Please join us for worship at 10:30 a.m. followed by a special reception to follow!
GATHERING OPPORTUNITIES
Sunday we honor long time member Irma Gronau before she moves to Wisconsin. We thank her for her years of service on numerous committees. Please join us for cake and refreshments at coffee hour.

Calling All Parents and Caregivers! We are so thankful to be partners with you as we learn faith together with children and youth of all ages! We are getting ready to launch Sunday School again starting on Sunday, October 1st. We need your input and participation as prepare for a new year. To that end, we invite all parents of Sunday School age children (preschool through Grade 5) to attend a discussion TODAY, at 9:15 or after the 10:30 service. We will also be sending out an electronic survey regarding children's faith development during the following week. Please help us to shape our Children's Ministry programs by participating in these meetings and/or the survey.

The Altar Flowers Sunday are given in honor of Kathy Danner’s brother, Ken Schifo.

Next Week Church Services - will be held indoors at 8:00 a.m. and an outdoor celebration at 10:30 a.m. followed by our annual Block Party!

It's Block Party Time! Pilgrim throws an, annual unifying party for our church, school, school alumni, hot meals guests, and neighbors. Each year we do some things the same, but we also innovate a little bit each year, depending on the ideas and gifts of those involved. It is an opportunity to highlight the amazing community we have at Pilgrim, and is a wonderful embodiment of our mission to gather, prepare, and send!
This year we will be celebrating on Sunday, September 17th. It’s not too late to contact Sarah Lau sarahlau@lau.com if you are interested in helping AND sign up to volunteer for all sorts of good things at http://tinyurl.com/pilgrimfest. We hope you'll join us!
