Subject: Like No Other Hour

Dear Friends,

Early Sunday morning, we will lose an hour for daylight savings time. But in 1 hour of worship, we will gain what no other hour during the week can provide: the inspiration and encouragement that comes from the Word and Sacraments, celebrated in community.

The texts on Sunday are epic! "By grace you have been saved through faith..." (Ephesians 2) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son..." We will also enjoy offerings of music from both our choir and the praise team. And, you're invited to join us at 9:15 a.m. as we prepare Easter Care Baskets for those in need of some cheer.

See you Sunday at 8 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.
GATHERING OPPORTUNITIES
Lent: A Time for Peace—We invite you to be intentional during this season of Lent. Our theme is “Lent: A Time for Peace”. We will be reflecting on the teachings of Jesus and St. Francis of Assisi as we allow God to guide us in the ways of peace. Devotionals are now ready to pick up in the back of the Sanctuary, and we also recommend an ebook titled: Lent with St. Francis by Diane Houdek. You can order the book by clicking here: https://tinyurl.com/francispeace

Wednesday “All Together Dinners” in Lent—At 6:15 p.m. we will have a community meal—open to all! At 7:00 p.m. we will have a brief Reflective Worship: Prayers Around the Cross, a very centering, peaceful worship setting by Marty Haugen. At 7:30 p.m. the Harmony Choir will have rehearsal.

Help needed with Easter Baskets—The Pilgrim community will be assembling Easter Baskets and bringing them to those who are homebound or who could benefit from some special attention. Help us TODAY at 9:15 to assemble baskets AND then take a basket to deliver to someone who needs to be remembered during this season. This is also the March event for WELCA.

Quilters & Crafters Play Date is SUNDAY. Join us this afternoon and bring your sewing, knitting or other craft. Bring a snack to share and we'll order dinner around 5:00 pm. Questions? Contact Chris Wallis at cewallis1949@yahoo.com

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Plans for Cinco de Pilgrim are well underway - the annual spring party on May 5th is going to be a fantastic celebration of our community. We have a great group of volunteers, but we’re still in need of a few more people to round out the team. If you would be willing to give a few hours of your time, we would be so grateful. We are specifically looking for help in the areas of donations and sponsorships - it’s work that can largely be done from the comfort of your couch! Email Ana Caref if you’re able to help: analisacaref@gmail.com

A Meal Train for Judy Daniel has been set up as she recovers from knee surgery and her recent hospital visit. The meals can be delivered to Pilgrim and then volunteers will take them to her. Details of what to bring are in the following sign up link: https://www.TakeThemAMeal.com/HJPO7515 She is so appreciative of this help from her Pilgrim family.
