Dear Friends,

This week we mourn the passing of long time Pilgrim Church and School leader Erwin Gronau.

This week, we celebrate the baptism of a beautiful baby boy, Drake Dickerson.

We invite you to join us this coming Sunday at 9:30 a.m. as we honor these two men, and all men.

There is a God who weaves together life, death, and resurrection,
who gives us peace and purpose,
who draws us into a narrative of healing and hope.

Come experience that God together!

Thank You! - to everyone who walked and contributed to this year's, Walk to Reach El Salvador! Thanks to your generous support, we raised over $1700 for Pilgrim Participants and their mission in partnership with the Lutheran Church of El Salvador.

Helping Vets - Currently, there are several hundred homeless veterans in Chicago.  Alderman Pawar is collecting new household items to support our vets as
they move into permanent homes. The items listed on a sheet available on the back table will be accepted at the 47th Ward Office (4243 N. Lincoln) through June. For more information, please call (773) 868-4747 or email info@chicago47.org

NurseryAre you interested in hanging out with some cute kiddos in the nursery on Sunday mornings? I have a volunteer opportunity for you! We're looking for a few more families to help staff the nursery during the Sunday morning service on a rotating basis. Commitment would be about once every few months. Please contact Katie Ruger at katieruger@gmail.com if you're interested.  Thanks so much!

Endowment Fund Matching Gift—Thank you, thank you, thank you to one and all for the contributions you've made recently to the Pilgrim Church Endowment Fund. As we mentioned in previous bulletins, Pilgrim member Marian Azzaro offered to match $50 for the first 20 Church Endowment contributions of $50 or more. You did it! Now, Marian is adding $1000 to her own contribution which she is making in honor of her parents. In total, in this period between Mother's Day and Father's Day, we will have increased the Church Endowment Fund by more than $8,000! That's quite a difference we've made with even small contributions. Let's keep this in mind and keep it up!
